Florentine Rooftops

After I returned home from Florence, this was what I missed most... sitting on my hotel's rooftop terrace at breakfast with a cappuccino and this view. The reference photo for this was taken on a misty November morning. Oil on 20"h x 24"w stretched linen. SOLD.

First United Methodist Church of Shadyside

I always thought this church in Shadyside was interesting. I liked the contrast between the warm colors of the stone and roof with the cool colors of the surrounding streets and hills. Oil on 6"h x 8"w stretched linen. SOLD.

The Andy Warhol Bridge Study

My husband and I spent the night in Pittsburgh for New Year's Eve and were fortunate to wake up to a sunny New Year's Day. We took a walk downtown along the river where I snapped some photos. This is a study of the Andy Warhol Bridge.

View from Piazza Michelangelo

This is a view of the hills surrounding Florence, Italy from Piazza Michelangelo. I know it doesn't look real, but it looked that way in real life. I guess it doesn't look real to me because of the umbrella pine and cypress trees, which are completely different from the trees we have in Pennsylvania. Add a fortress wall and a Tuscan villa, and it looks like a made-up scene. But it isn't made up, it really exists in Italy! SOLD.

View of San Gimignano III

This is a view from one of the many lookouts along the hilltop town of San Gimignano, Italy. SOLD.
