Oil on 24" x 30" stretched canvas. Available at Christine Frechard Gallery until October 11th during the "Summertime" exhibit.
The painting was inspired by the peaceful cafe scene in Honfleur,
France. The air is still crisp on a May morning before the town becomes
lively with tourists.

Turkish Coffee
I loved the presentation of this Turkish coffee at Cafe Imperial in Vienna, Austria. Just thinking about all the different variations of coffee in the city and the cozy cafes makes me want to book another trip there. Oil on 4" x 4" stretched canvas. The edges are painted raw umber and the painting comes with its own mini display easel. This is one of ten paintings I added to the Ornamental Artwork Collection at UGallery.com. You can see the whole collection here. SOLD.

Espresso for One
Though the name "espresso" indicates that the drink is consumed quickly, it is still worth the time to sit down and mindfully appreciate it. Unless you are in Italy where they sometimes charge more if you sit down. The cafe pictured above is in New York, where one can let the caffeine take effect before hitting the pavement. Oil on 12"h x 6"w x 1"d composite board. SOLD.

Ladies Night Out
I've had the reference photo for this painting since my 2010 trip to Paris. It took a while before I was comfortable painting more than one person together. Also I was always focused on painting things that were distinctly Parisian. Aside from the people smoking and the Chanel bag, you really can't tell where this is, which is fine. Most of my recent work is about people doing their thing, wherever it is.
This is one of several new paintings added to the UGallery site this week. Oil on 16"w x 12"h composite board.

At The Bakery
A painting of the display counter at Demel of Vienna. It is difficult to decide which dessert to try. One needs to stay in Vienna multiple days and just come back every day! Oil on 14"h x 11"w x 1 1/2"d stretched canvas. SOLD.

The Waiter
The waiter at Cafe Braunerhof of Vienna takes a moment to straighten the newspapers after the lunch crowd settles down. One cozy feature of Viennese cafes is that they provide a variety of newspapers for their patrons to read. At least that was the case when I visited in 2011, when tablets were slightly less widespread. SOLD.
