Sending a Text

This is a painting of my cousin's girlfriend checking her phone before one of our dinners. I feel grateful that my family puts up with dinner sometimes turning into a photo shoot for artistic subject matter. I still socialize, though... I can talk and take pictures at the same time! Unfortunately I sometimes prevent people from eating right away if I see a potential painting. Oil on 14"h x 11"w x 1 1/2" stretched linen. This is one of the paintings in my exhibit at Gallery on 43rd Street in Pittsburgh, PA.

The Market

A transaction is in progress at the market at Grand Central Station. I'm pretty sure I placed an order for some exotic goat cheese after snapping the reference photo for this painting. Oil on 16"h x 12"w stretched linen.

Comfy Cat

Stella was comfortably sitting on the sofa when I interrupted her to take the reference photo for this painting. I liked how she propped herself on the pillows to get a good vantage point of the birds outside. It was a bit of a challenge to distinguish between the cat and the pillows that almost match her calico fur. Oil on 9"h x 12" w stretched linen.

The Kitchen Supervisor

Since gaining the ability to jump onto the kitchen countertop, my kitten, Alfred, supervises the preparation of every meal, and also makes sure I clean up properly. He likes to chirp at the bubbles that escape the dish soap bottle and float into the air. Oil on 12"h x 9"w stretched linen. SOLD.

Afternoon Tea for One

The tea and cake were for me, but Stella the cat decided she wanted a bite. Oil on 12"h x 9"w stretched linen. If you are interested in purchasing, the link below provides gallery contact information. SOLD.

Cat and Cake

This is the first painting in my series of paintings featuring cats and desserts. Though cats are supposed to like (and need) a protein rich diet, my Stella also likes carbs. Oil on 11"h x 14"w x 1" stretched linen. If you are interested in purchasing, the link below contains gallery contact information.

Dinner at the Enoteca

This is a behind the scenes view of a cook working at an enoteca (wine bar) in Florence, Italy. He takes a break from preparing meat and cheese boards to pour a glass of wine for a customer. Oil on 11"h x 14"w x 1 1/2" stretched canvas. SOLD.

Busy Cafe

I painted this from a photo I took at Cafe Prueckel in Vienna. It was a lively and warm oasis on a cold, rainy October afternoon. Oil on 12"h x 9"w stretched linen. SOLD.

Bird Watching

A calico cat wakes from a peaceful nap to watch some birds. I'm sure after the birds left she promptly went back to sleep. Oil on 8"h x 6"w linen on panel. SOLD.

At The Bakery

A painting of the display counter at Demel of Vienna. It is difficult to decide which dessert to try. One needs to stay in Vienna multiple days and just come back every day! Oil on 14"h x 11"w x 1 1/2"d stretched canvas. SOLD.

The Waiter

The waiter at Cafe Braunerhof of Vienna takes a moment to straighten the newspapers after the lunch crowd settles down. One cozy feature of Viennese cafes is that they provide a variety of newspapers for their patrons to read. At least that was the case when I visited in 2011, when tablets were slightly less widespread. SOLD.
