Brasserie Lipp

After a very busy day sightseeing in Paris, I wanted to do even more sightseeing by visiting one of Ernest Hemingway's old haunts, Brasserie Lipp. We got all dressed up in our finest Paris attire, which caused us to arrive a bit late in the evening. We ended up being one of the last tables occupied, but I once heard that it is customary in Europe to drink coffee or tea after dinner. Even if it isn't, I still like the idea. While I waited for my coffee, I tried to snap a picture of the room, as for once nobody was there to get in my way or to witness my touristy behavior. While the photo snapped, the waiter rounded the corner with my coffee. Oil on 14"h x 18"w stretched canvas. SOLD.
