Birdwatching II

 

Tiny the cat watching birds through the window is the equivalent of a sports fanatic watching football on TV. She thinks she can get the birds even though a window separates her from them. Her entertainment entertains me. Oil on 8" x 8" stretched linen. 25% of the painting sale price will go toward helping local feral cats. SOLD.

Getting Along

These are my babies, Oliver and Stella. Unfortunately, the only time they get along is when they are asleep. Stella is usually the instigator, as Oliver is very peaceful. Even in her sleep, you can see that she appears to be kicking him, trying to take over the ottoman. Oil on 12"h x 24"w canvas.

Favorite Seat

This is Oliver the cat's new favorite seat. It used to be my favorite place to sit, but I was exiled. The oil painting is 8" x 10". SOLD.

Birdwatching is one of Oliver the cat's favorite activities. When he sits on one of his many perches to watch the passing robins, nothing else captures his attention. This painting is 8" w x 10" h and is unframed. SOLD

Where's the Bus?

I painted this from a photograph that I took while getting ready to leave for our most recent vacation. I think the cat is starting to understand the significance of suitcases. When he sees us packing them and placing them by the door, he knows that all the grandparents will be visiting every day to spoil him even more than he already is. This painting is 10" w x 8" h. Cat at Rest

After reading a book and drinking a glass of wine, sometimes one needs a nap. And I was going to take one until Oliver the cat kicked me off the sofa. He hadn't read a book or drank any wine, but I guess watching the birds fly outside the window can be almost as tiresome. This painting is 8" w x 10" h. SOLD

Inquisitive Cat

Cats are normally curious...imagine if they could read! They would probably bat the books around after reading them, as is the cat in the painting. This is oil on canvas, 8" h x 16" w. No longer available.

How to Get Comfortable?

This cat looks like he is having trouble getting comfortable. He seems to be in the midst of twirling around for the best vantage point. The oil painting is 8" w x 10" h and was painted from a photo. These cats engage in riotous banter after a long nap on the sofa. The fluffy one ducks in self defense as the other strikes with a right hook. SOLD

Cat Portrait

This is a portrait of my Oliver, sitting on the dining room table. It is one of his favorite places because it reminds him of dinnertime, when he tries to steal the food off of our plates. In this painting he looks as though he anticipates a snack. SOLD

Cat with Grapes and Wine

Oliver the cat always tries to steal my food. In this painting he is eying my grapes, probably because I had just washed them and he wanted to drink the water that dripped off of them. Alas, I was able to protect my snack and I rewarded him with a kitty treat for creating such a picturesque scene. SOLD
