Fast Hands
I paint most of my paintings from photographs. I took the reference photo for this one at Elite Combative Systems in Indiana, PA. Sal's hands were a bit too fast for my slow camera, so I used that to create a sense of movement. Oil on 24"h x 18"w stretched linen.

Between Rounds
A kickboxer taking a break between rounds of sparring. This painting is part of my fight camp series. I took the reference photos at Elite Combative Systems in Indiana, PA, during a time when some of my fellow students were training extra hard for fights. I liked the gloves, so I decided to paint a small one of just them in the "Blue Boxing Gloves" painting. Oil on 18"h x 24"w x 1 1/2" stretched linen.
