The Kitchen Helper

 

Daphne, or as we call her, Tiny Kitten, loves to help in the kitchen. She is the only cat in the house who doesn't really care for "people food" but purely enjoys the process of cooking and cleaning. Oil on 12"h x 9"w stretched linen. 

This is one of the paintings I have recently completed for the show I am currently having with my mother, Jolene Joyner, at the Southern Alleghenies Museum of Art in Ligonier, PA. "Looking for the Light in Dark Times" is available to view from now until July 31st. The exhibit will feature work that my mom and and I have done over the past year that is meant to add positivity to a world that currently has many challenges. Breakfast

This is a painting of my mischievous cat, Alfred, trying to steal my breakfast from the kitchen countertop. Oil on 11"h x 14"w x 1"d stretched linen.

This is one of the paintings that will be at my show of new work at Gallery on 43rd Street in Pittsburgh, PA. The exhibit runs from November 4 - December 31, 2016. This collection of work mostly revolves around the idea of home.  Home can be anywhere including my house, town, country, family homes and anywhere in the world where I feel peace.  Included in this collection are paintings inspired by Pittsburgh, New York City, Paris and Tuscany. Cake Thief II

Leave it to Stella to try to eat the cake in my still life. She loves carbs. Please note that she is not licking a sharp knife... it is actually a very dull cake server and I intervened before she made contact (I just don't want animal rights activists to have reason for concern.
