Crossing this bridge reminded me a little of crossing the Brooklyn Bridge, only it wasn't a double decker bridge with traffic below. Though it was built in 1840, it still has a modern, industrial feel. Oil on 40"h x 30"w stretched canvas.

Crossing the Brooklyn Bridge
My husband and I visited New York City in April. We have been there several times, yet still always find something new to see. For the first time ever, we saw and walked across the Brooklyn Bridge and visited the Dumbo area. I didn't realize you had to walk across the top level of the bridge, and it was a little scary to look down at times! I was glad we did it, though. Oil on 16"h x 20"w x 1 1/2"d stretched linen. SOLD.

Where Are You
A lady sits on the ledge of a bridge in Florence, Italy. She appears to be texting someone she was supposed to meet to find out where they are. Oil on 20" x 20" x 1 1/2" stretched canvas.

View of Rome II
My husband and I recently took a subject matter gathering trip to Italy. We stayed in Florence and took day trips to Rome and some of the smaller towns in Tuscany. This is the first picture I painted from the trip. I snapped the reference photo while walking across one of the bridges to Vatican City, and you can see St. Peter's Basilica in the background. Oil on 15"h x 30"w x 1 1/2" stretched canvas. SOLD.

A Kiss on Bow Bridge
A couple shares a kiss on Bow Bridge in Central Park. I painted this from a reference photo I snapped on a crisp March Saturday. It may have been creepy of me to take this reference photo of them, but I thought it would be a nice painting. And if you don't want people taking pictures of you making out on a bridge, don't make out on a bridge! Ha ha. Oil on 8"h x 6"w linen Ray Mar panel. SOLD.

View of the Seine
This is one of the paintings that I recently completed for my winter exhibit at Latrobe Art Center in Latrobe, PA. The blue sky and gray clouds frame the Musee d'Orsay and the Pont Royal bridge. I suppose I should have named the painting "View from the Passerelle de Solferino" since that is the bridge that I took the reference photo from, but it's too late, I don't like to re-name paintings. Oil on 40" x 50" x 1 1/2" stretched canvas. SOLD.
