The Welcome Committee

My husband and I were looking for a trail near Bozeman, MT when we passed a llama farm. I had to get out of the car to get a closer look. Many of the sweet faced creatures came running over to greet me, and reminded me of my cats at home that do the same thing. Oil on 6"h x 4"w stretched canvas.

Orange and White Kitten

This was one of six kittens I found last fall on a busy road at night. I took them home with me and ended up finding them all homes, and I adopted the last one. I really wish people would spay and neuter their pets and keep them indoors, especially if they live near a busy road. Oil on 8"h x 6"w stretched linen. SOLD.

Sassy Cat

My cat, Oliver looked more sassy and grumpy than he actually was. He was very shy when we first adopted him, but over time he became like a little shadow, accompanying us wherever we went in the house. This was part of UGallery's Ornamental Artwork Collection, which can be viewed here. SOLD.

Dexter the Cat

Dexter is my grandmother's cat, and I'm pretty sure he is related to my late cat Oliver, as they have similar appearances and personalities. Gray and white cats are my favorite to paint because the light, shadows and reflections create interesting colors in their fur, and the gray helps you know that those aren't really colors, they're just reflections. Oil on 7"h x 5"w stretched linen. SOLD.

Comfy Cat

Stella was comfortably sitting on the sofa when I interrupted her to take the reference photo for this painting. I liked how she propped herself on the pillows to get a good vantage point of the birds outside. It was a bit of a challenge to distinguish between the cat and the pillows that almost match her calico fur. Oil on 9"h x 12" w stretched linen.

Cat and Book

My cats like to prevent me from reading. They have to sit on my books, magazines and laptop at every opportunity. That's okay, I'd rather give the cats attention, anyway. Oil on linen on 6"h x 8"w panel. SOLD.

Kitten in the Sun

This is the first painting I've done of our new kitten, Alfred. In this painting he is taking a break from antagonizing his sister, Stella, to lounge on a chair in front of a sunny window. The painting is on 5"h x 7"w stretched canvas.

Capsized Cat

This is a painting of my Stella, capsized on the sofa. She is the only cat I've ever met who will let me pet her belly. Oil on 5"h x 7"w canvas board. SOLD.

Cake Thief

A painting of my cat, Stella, looking for ways to take a bite of cake. Though she loves healthy things like Greek yogurt, she loves to indulge in carbs once in a while. Oil on 12"h x 18"w stretched linen. SOLD.

Asleep on a Blanket

My Oliver taking a nap on a throw blanket. I had brought it home recently as a prop for a painting, and of course, the cats gravitate toward anything new. The throw was intended for a different painting, but ended up in this one instead. Oil on 8"h x 10" stretched linen. SOLD.
